Discriptions of volunteer positions below.
Cubmaster
The leader of the pack meeting is the Cubmaster. In addition to serving as the master of ceremonies the Cubmaster provides support to Den Leaders.
Assistant Cubmaster
This person helps the Cubmaster as needed. Will supervise the den chiefs, making sure they are trained. Participate in the committee meetings and any other activity within the pack.
Den Leaders
An adult, usually a parent, serves as a Den Leader. They carry out the advancement activities related to adventures as they are presented in the Cub Scout’s handbook and the Den Leader Guide.
Assistant Den Leaders
The Assistant Cub Scout Den Leader shares the work of the Cub Scout Den Leader and may be called upon to serve as a family contact or record keeper, or to handle other details of den operation.
Committee Chair
This person acts as the liaison between the Charter Organization (Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church) and the Pack. Communicate with the Charter Organization the use of the building and presiding over Committee meetings. Working with the Cub Master to ensure a smooth Cub Scout year. Complete the annual recharter and make sure all leadership has completed Youth Protection Training (YPT) among other things.
Treasurer
Help the pack committee and Cubmaster establish a sound financial program for the pack with a pack budget plan.
Advancement Chair
The Advancement Chair can help the Cubmaster and other leaders in putting on recognition ceremonies by preparing advancement materials in advance of the pack meeting, getting signatures on award cards from the den leaders and Cubmaster, and organizing everything so they're easy to present
Quarter Master
Responsible for maintaining/organizing your shed and other equipment
Outdoor Coordinator
Works with the committee to set up fun outdoor activities like hiking and camping.
Scouting for Food Coordinator
This person coordinates the scouting for food activity in the spring. Coordination includes drop off of door hangers, pick up of full bags the following weekend and delivering it to the food bank.
Popcorn Kernel
Attend training and meetings from the BSA. Coordinate show and sells, delivery, payments and prizes. Will need to attend a few Committee Meeting and Den Meeting to make announcements.
Pinewood Derby Coordinator
This person would pick up and distribute the derby cars to the scouts, delegate to the parent volunteers and ensure the a smooth race day. Would need to attend the committee meeting before the race.
Raingutter Regatta Coordinator
Similar to the Pinewood Derby, the person is in charge of making sure the scouts get their boat kits and delegating to parent volunteers. Would need to attend the committee meeting before the race.Â
Camp Card Coordinator
This person would coordinate the selling of $5 cards which include $100 in savings for the individual.
Daycamp Coordinator
Responsible for coordinating our pack Day Camp registration and volunteers.
Klondike Derby Coordinator
Responsible for coordinating pack participation in this annual one day event in late January.
Parent Volunteer Coordinator
Reach out to parents when volunteers are needed and attend Committee Meetings. It is strictly administrative and does not require attendance at weekly den meetings.
Training Coordinator
This person verifies that all members of Pack leadership has or is completing required training (YPT) and fills out background questionnaires for new leaders.
Snack Coordinator
You would be responsible for coordinating the snack for each of the Pack Meetings (not weekly den meetings). You would coordination with the Committee Chair and Cub Master on the theme of the meeting for the month. You would purchase the snack at BJs or COSTCO and submit the receipts for reimbursement to the Treasurer. This position is perfect for a Tiger parent since you stay at the meetings anyway. It does not require attendance at the committee meetings, however you are welcome to attend.
Camping Food Coordinator
Organizes and purchases pack camp food for camping trips.
